Play

Teaching big and small is an important concept for your child to grasp. Use a variety of objects to teach this skill. Big and small items at picture level are more abstract and may be more difficult for your child to understand so use real objects. Use big and small during everyday routines – “I am having a small apple”, “Oh look, Daddy has a big spoon.”

You can also use the big teddy and small teddy and give them food – “Give small teddy a biscuit” (hand your child the biscuit). This works on following directions also.
