There are more games listed than what we are targeting this week. We target a primary sound pattern during the week, then cycle to another pattern the next week or so. Keeping to one primary sound pattern per week helps build sound awareness and motor memory.
This week's games have asterisks by them.
Our main focus areas have been
(1) maintaining the final sound in CVC words and
(2) increasing the variety in CVCV words by changing the second consonant and/or vowel sound

Be consistent in highlighting or focusing on a sound pattern. So maybe you would play one of the games specifically until you see increased accuracy or increased independence! When you change the area you are focusing on, talk about the change so your child knows what to look for or what to do. Practice at a level that has your child excited to play and wanting to talk. If a word/pattern is becoming easier/more accurate, we also use phrases (e.g.: I see/my/I play...) |

END of WORD ***This is for CVC (final sounds). We've had a bigger break, so you might try this game if the CVCV games are getting old. BUT then stay focused on this game/CVC.*** |
